RE and RE on 240 Front Seats 200

Hi 240 owners,

I'm a new member about to remove and replace the front seats in my '91 240. Current seats are cloth; replacements are vinyl but apparently in good shape. Despite the different seat covering materials, the seat frames should be the same, right?
Also, can I install the seat heaters in my current cloth seats in the vinyl replacement seats that do not have any.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide answers.
