Radiator mounting 700 1988

If you remove the front grill you will be able to see whether your radiator is properly seated on its rubber mounts. Check for metal corrosion around the rubber mounts. You said that the fan is rubbing when you accelerate. The fan should sit centrally inside the plastic fan shroud. According to the FAQ, this can be caused by the deterioration of the engine mounts. Also check that your fan shroud is secure. On my car there are two screws at the top that hold the shroud in place.

Cheers
Will
