Still failing emissions, just NOx this time 200

Passing HC now after changing air filter, cap, rotor, plugs, and gapping the plugs smaller. It is 0.539/0.800HC, but it is still failing NOx. I brought it down a bit by plugging the hot air intake, but it is still a bit over allowed at 2.7248/2.0000.

Now the part I am wondering is could this be from the engine running hotter and to the point of pinging with the performance camshaft? I am still running 87 octane, and wondering if I stepped it up to midgrade or premium, if it would lower the NOx.
