Popping noise when breaking 900 1997

Hello all, and good day. I'm having a little bit of a popping noise coming from the front end of my 960 every time I break. I can feel the "pop" under my feet and in the driver's seat each time it happens. The rotors were just replaced about 1 month ago and it started to happen shortly thereafter. There also seems to be a rattling noise when I hit certain bumps that is coming from, or at least sounds like it's coming from, the front right side. Any thoughts on what the problem is? The Volvo tech's at my dealer said there is a little bit of play in an "arm" (?) but nothing worth fixing and, most importantly, no safety issues. Just want to see if anyone has had anything similar. I wish I could describe it better but, you know.

Any thoughts are welcome!
