seat heater lights 200 1990

Um, in an effort to create domestic bliss I replaced the burned out lights in the rocker switches for our seat heaters. The car is a 245 1990 station wagon. The friendly folks at NAPA got the lights for me. The lit up quite nicely.

Apparently they also get very, very hot. Hot enough to cause slight burns.

Is it possible the wrong lights could do this, or is it a symptom of something else? I dont have the old lights....anyone know the correct type/make?

Thanks
Sean
