245 fuel pump relay gets warm. 200

Could any of the the brickboarders advise whether the fuel pump relay on my'93 245 should get warm?

The car quit on me very suddenly this afternoon - fortunately managed to manouver out of traffic to the side of the road. My immediate reaction was to pull the relay and replace with a spare I carry in the glove compartment. The relay was quite warm when I unplugged it?

(Problem turned out to be the fuse in #6 which had fallen out of it's side contacts. Poorly designed fuse system!)

Look forward to your comments
