1989 240DL = vrooom 200

I hear all this talk about how a Volvo 240 is a "slow, safe car".I agree with the safe part I would not be afraid of getting hit in one. I have an Issue however with the slow part. I own a 1989 240 DL with the B230F (low compression engine) in it, the take off leaves a lil to be desired but once it gets going it strolles. I was driving down US1 from Raliegh NC to Henderson, and this 88 Honda Prelud wanted to race. I previouly owned an 87 Prldude so I knew what I was up aginst. I though there is no way this led sled will beat that car but I can't resist a challenge. So I FLOORED it and to my suprise I stomped a mud hole in the Prelude. I give my lil 240 tow big thumbs up and a pat on the back for that.
