timing belt noise(s) S90-V90 1997

Hi gang....1997 960 with 126K.
Got it in 2004 and had all the belts done promptly.
Six months ago got me some funny noises emanating from the motor (squeely, whiny-ish...yeah I know!) I had my indy mechanic update the serpenitne belt tensioner, and it was in dire need, as the serp. belt showed a 6 inch tear...

Well I still got me the noise(s) which tends to cease when car is really warmed up!

Now before I have my mechanic tear into the motor for further investigation, does anyone have any inkling what this might be a result of...please???
A timing belt tensioner?!?!? Or some somethin'?

I thank you all very much!!!!!

Mike!
