164 no start, no spark 140-160 1975

I've sold my 760 when I replaced the distributor cap and it would not run any more. Got fedup with it, it was a B280. When I replaced the cap, I made sure that I transfer ignition leads one at a time, observing the numbering on the cap. Just as I sold it, I realised the original cap was not a correct one and was numbered differently than the (correct) replacement so the plug order was just wrong. Anyway, I'm glad I got rid of it and sold it not running for double what I paid for it 2 years before, running!

To make a long story short, sounds like you mixed up the wires. Or the coil-to-cap lead broke (wire internally pulled out of plug), or is not properly mated with the coil (not pushed on far enough).
