Not sure when you are getting a retest but maybe on your way back From NY you can run a pint of "pass test" through your gas tank. Its' a fuel line/ engine cleaner that I used a couple of years ago and it saved me a few hundred on a catalytic converter, not that I'm not envirnmentally concerned here in the Bay state but had to do it, car runs nice after. Good luck
