Driver door handle + AC problem S90-V90 1997

re : A/C Two things come to mind.

1 ) Thermal High Temp sensor on A/C Compressor trips. This was a common problem on earlier 960's. I know 95's and earlier had this problem. My 98 does not. I do not know when Volvo removed this sensor. You can override the sensor by wiring around it. It is located on the A/C compressor itself.

1a) Low oil level in the compressor causing it to get hot and causing item 1. A low oil level can occur if the system has been loosing charge and is being re-charged with R134a only and no oil.

2) The evaporator may be freezing up (with ice). Airflow may diminsh as well when this happens. Pressostat should run between 24 -55 psi.

Can't help you on the door isuue.
