RE: Oil Dummy Light 200 1993

I bought her back in March. In April, I gave her a major tune up and changed the oil & filter (light was not coming on). Last week I took out the instrument panel cluster to replace the temp. comp. board because the temp. gauge was not working properly and I found that the bulb for the oil dummy light was missing. I replaced the bulb, put the cluster back in and now the light is coming on when I decelerate. I obviously couldn't tell immediately after the oil change, but maybe the light would have been coming on since the oil change if I had a bulb in there?!?! I checked the connection on the sensor, and it is clean & tight. Do the sensors themselves go bad? Is there any way to check oil pressure w/out an oil pressure gauge? Any suggestions?
