240 engine interchangeability 200 1985

I have an 85 240 wagon with the b230f. It has about 240,000 on it and needs a rebuild. I'd like to avoid that expense and have found used engines for a quarter of the price of a rebuild. I have found newer engines at the local pick and pull from 940s with under 100,000 miles. Is it possible to simply swap the blocks and use my 85 fuel, exhuast and accessories systems? If not what years have a block that would fit easily into my 240?

thanks tom
