B280 Oil Pressure 700 1988

I pulled the oil pan and filter from my 780 to see if there were any obvious reasons for the cars high rpm oil presure issues. Like i mentioned before the car started to have a lot of lifter clack when the engine would get over 3000 RPM, but ran fin below that. Following the FAQ as a guide i looked at the screen for the oil pickup as well as the seal where the pickup tube meets the block. There werent any obvious issues there. the screen was very clean and there was no play or sigens of damage to the pickup tube and gasket. The only thing that i did notice was that the oil filter was dented. Most likely happened when the local grease monkey installed it.

So, here i am, stuck. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I STILL have not recieved the book i ordered so i am working blind and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, again,
Jesse
