Both Head lamps going out S90-V90 1998

I was on my home and my headlamps went out. all my lights work (interior, rear lights, hazard lights, parking lights). I checked the fuse and both the front headlamp bulbs and they are good. Once I was able to get lamps to light by holding on to the radial switch but eventually it failed and I drove in the dark. I tried putting on my high beam but it wouldn't click on over. What is wrong with my lights? I need to get home tonite so that I can get to work tomorrow. Any solutions will be great.

Thank you,

David
