Best 444 Engine Color - Ford, Chevy or Volvo Red?? 444-544

Tony,
I have used the POR-15 Ford Red, and although the quality of the paint is great, nice and glossy and hard, the color is wrong - much too pink and not enough pigment in it to do a good job of covering, even after three coats. So, I went back to Plasti-Kote Universal Red #209. They also have a Ford Red (I forgot the number, but it's the same color as far as I can tell.) The color is as close to the original Volvo engine red as you can get, if not identical. Remember, the color on a 40+ year engine is no longer like it was when it was sprayed on. The Plasti-Kote stuff has everything going for it: the right color, cheap, comes in rattle cans, and it is readily available, so that, if you run out before the job is completed, you can run out and get another can before you lose the wet edge.
