NO Headlights Help! After Minor repair !!! 200

Preface DESCRIPTION: I was helping my friend's volvo. 1989 245 gl. The alternator belts were loose and cracked.Then the dash lights stardted to Flicker.He ignored me and acouple days later Died. No Juice(12V). I Pulled the Alternaotr for testing.(unknown car 325,000) iT TURNS OUT TO only be the Regulator(very common alt Trouble) Any ways I Re-Installed it with the Good Pick apart regulator. Installed with New V belts. After tightening I Re installed the Battery and started her up .Tested 14.5 with Dvm. Nice, !! Feeling Lucky . I installed a Tach small click Setup..

PROBLEM:::After connecting the battery I Decided to load test the alternator(Turn onn all Acc.(Ie fan Headlights, Radio) Anyways the Headlights Dont work. Key on or off. Aux lights Pos 1 work but when you switch to 2nd Pos For headlights the Dash /running lights shut off and the headlights Dont come on. If you pull the High beam Lever and hold it the High beams will stay luminated. as long as you hold lever back... Fuse is good. I have spare Relays and Head light switch. What do I do... ????? I have bently bible and a Dvom. Help/ Thanks in advance. I am going to attemp repair @ 1:30 PM TOMMOROW thurs 5/11
