Overdrive Relay Contact Question 200 1986

For some time every once and a while the OD light would come on and stay on an yes there was no overdrive. This was happening before Inga sat up for two years and resumed almost right away when she returned to the streets about a month ago. The OD light would not switch and there a a low growl from a buzzer. If you gave the right side of the center console a good thump the problem would go away. Traced the problem down to the Gnd contact on the overdrive relay the other night. You can wiggle that wire and the OD light will stay on.

What kind of contact is this and were do you get one? Appears to be a spade lug of some sort, but before I get excited and tear something up, lets ask the experts. Oh yeah taped the relay standing up and it was worked for a week now. But that is not the right fix.

Volvo will sell you the connector but no the contacts. They said that was part of a harness. Does that sound right?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Regards,

PT
