Fuel economy gauge on a 1991 non turbo? 200

I'm getting tired of seeing a clock in the circular bezel, and since I have a huge clock on my CD player, I figure that it would be better to either put a fuel economy gauge or an oil pressure gauge there. Does the 240 need to be a turbo for the fuel economy gauge to work, or can you just hook one up? I'm replacing the fuel sender unit soon, so will that need to be replaced before I install a fuel economy gauge? And if I can put one in, how exactly do I go about installing one? If I can't put one in, how do you install an oil pressure gauge? I can't seem to find any info about it online.
