Lookin' for winshield install tips 120-130

I just tried searching the archives with little success on this. I'm looking for tips and techniques for installing a new winshield in my 122. I have seen and assisted on doing this once, so I know about the cord technique, but I'm kind of hazy on the rest of it in my memory.

I'm wondering if there might be a special kind of lubricant that might help in slipping the rubber gasket past the metal lip of the body-frame? Where can I get that 3M bedding compound aside from IPD? Does other stuff work, say from the Home Depot caulking section that I could also use?

Any pointers to web-pages with all this info or tutorials would be much appreciated; or advice here on this forum thread of course.

Thanks Sincerly!
