122 M41 Output Flange Size 120-130

Hi all. Some of you may know me from Turbobricks where I've been putting together a pretty unique '67 122s. Check this thread for a little more info...http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=70666

My issue is with the transmission. It had an M40 and I want to swap it with an M41. I went to put in the M41 yesterday and realized that the o/d front driveshaft has a smaller flange than the M41. No problem, I thought, I'll just swap the flange from the M40. Oops...the M40 flange, although smaller in size, actually has a larger spline than the M41 so no go. Now...did the M41 come with two different output flange sizes? One in the 122 and one in the 140? Is it a "D" type and "J" type Laycock issue? Although the 122 and 140 had different driveshafts, did they share the same u-joints? If so, I can try to find a 140 front section and pull the front flange off.

Any suggestions are kindly appreciated...

Thanks!

Dale
