If you use POR15 for a base, make sure that you rough it up and take the shine off with steel wool. The stuff is so hard when fully cured that the Volvo paint may not want to adhere if you don't. You could try to apply the top coat while the POR15 is still slightly tacky, but if you go that route, test it on a piece of other metal first. BTW, I've gotten the POR15 Ford Red close to the Volvo Red by adding orangy red (tomato red?) gel-coat coloring that they sell in tubes in marine supply stores.
