retrofitting a 740 M46 to a 240 200 1979

So some of you may remember my post a week or two back about my OD unit slipping. I have access to a FREE M46 that's in perfect working order, has a speedo cable port, etc....but is from a 740 so it has that crazy rubber flex disk. How much effort will be required to make this fit my '79 242 GT? I really have no idea, but free is good and so this is very tempting. Thanks muchly,

Nate Gundy
