My 1994 940 wagon stalled on me. Any ideas as to what happened? 900 1994

Hi all,
I was driving home tonight and all of a sudden all the lights on my dash came on and the car stalled. This has never happened to me before. Any ideas as to what it might be? It was dark when I got home so I didn't pop the hood to look at anything. Luckily this happened about 10 feet from my driveway, but I would hate for this to happen to me on the freeway, so I want to try and address this if I can figure out what the problem is. Any input will be much appreciated.
