ABS light is on 200 1990

When I got my '93 the ABS was non-op. No warning light either. My Bentley manual has a very comprehensive set of diagnostics, I went through that and determined there were two problems:
1) Burnt out fuse on the surge protector - next to the control module. under the passenger seat - requires removal of the seat to access (a weird place to put a fuse, no?)
2) Missing warning light - would have been lit up if the bulb was in there. Hmm, those crafty previous owners.

Anyhow, I'd just suggest getting the Bentley. It will be worth the price (bought mine lightly used on ebay) just in fixing the ABS, well worth having past that too.

As for the ABS light being on - the brakes will still work fine, they just won't have anti-lock capability if the pedal is mashed really hard.
