Overdrive not working...bad lockout switch? 200

The 5 gear overdrive quit working on my 5 speed, 85 244 DL and I remembered I had a similar problem 10 years or so ago. First it would work intermittingly then it quit working for good a couple of months ago. I checked through my records and a mechanic diagnosed the problem as a lock out switch 10 years ago which he replaced it and no problems after that.

Since I am having the same problem, I wonder if I should replace the lock out switch first as it is a relatively cheap part or is there a way to diagnose it myself? Where exactly is the lock out switch and is it difficult to replace? I changed the overdrive solenoid on my 93 245 so I am capable of doing some things myself. Thanks in advance!
