changing o-rings under trans cooling line fittings AW-70 200 1992

Hello All:

In a previous post I was informed that the 90 deg fittings between the trans and the cooler lines are sealed with an o-ring. It looks like I have leaks at both the in and out fittings.

Do I need to remove the lines from the fittings to swap out the o-rings, or can I turn the nut on the fitting without removing the cooler lines first? Mine are a little crusty looking, so if I can avoid messing with them, I would prefer it!

I have to find some time to swing by the dealer to get the o-rings-- I am hoping to do the job this weekend...

Thanks!
