Wiring harness replacement 200

I have done some research on the 240 electrical and it seems to fully scooby doo the ghosts out of the machine is to replace the wiring harness. I have located one for a reasonable price. I have read up on it in the bently, some posts here and of course dave shan's home page. The question i have is this doable if you are not at expert skill like dave and quite a few of the other folks on here. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom
