My son's 240 A/C compressor locked up - can I bypass? 200

On the way home from the big city the A/C compressor locked up and because of it the power steering pump (this is an 89 245) doesn't get any drive. The belt from fan pulley to the A/C just slides in the frozen pulley and of course the power steering goes without. Can I get a belt (what size will I need) to go around the fan, alternator, and power steering pump and leave the A/C out of the loop till he get's the money to fix?
Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
