Brake booster swap? S90-V90 1997

My wife's 1997 960 has great, sharp brakes. My 1993 has only mediocre ones despite several pad disk combinations.
I notice the later model uses a different brake booster, but same master cylinder. Is the later booster a larger more powerful one?
