I think I connected something in the dash wrong... 140-160

Just got my dash back together on the 164 after installing a new stereo and I think I may have connected something wrong. On the wires that go to the rheostat, something seems wrong because it gets extremely hot to the touch.

What things connect to the rheostat? I am assuming of course the lights to the dash. Does the light from the glove box connect there? It is so hot to the touch that even the black dash cover was hot to the touch.

There are two wires that I had connected to the rheostat besides the one from the glove box. The numbers on these wires are:

A1212878

T1212995

Any help is greatly appreciated as I am ready to get this thing together completely and be done with it for a while. Replacing that heater core took its toll on my body :(

Thanks as always
