244 parts for early 144: Trailer hitch (or tow bar)? 140-160 1971

Update from last post: I've bought the side mirrors since the measurements for the mirror-to-arm screw is identical to my car and the mirror looks the same as in the late 140 series parts manual. I've also bought the trim pieces, from photo of the parts it looks like it is the one with chrome/stainless fuel filler cap rather than later style filler cover/door.

The guy also has a trailer hitch, and I'm wondering if it would/should fit my '71 144. It is just a bar with the ball attached, and the car it came off is either a '76 or a '78. He is a bit slow to reply with a photo, I've asked him a few days ago. So I'm turning to people with experience, do you know which 244 trailer hitch mounted the same as the early 144?

Thanks
