'91 740T, hot engine won't idle, stumbles terribly under load 700

'91 740 Turbo

After driving the car at least usually 25 minutes the engine will idle terribly fluctuating between 300-1000 rpm, sometimes refusing to idle without stalling unless I feather the throttle. During this condition the car flat out has no power when under load. It stumbles terribly and backfires constantly. While it is doing this if I unplug the AMM putting the computer in limp-home-mode the idle smooths right out. With that in mind I don't believe the issue is fuel delivery or a vacuum leak. Things I've tried in the past 2 days:
replaced AMM
cleaned IAC
cleaned throttle body
inspected all vacuum/intake hoses

After the car sits overnight it drives perfectly again for the first 25 minutes or so and then it happens again.

I've been all through the FAQ's and haven't come up with anything.
