Wiring for a Volvo Smith Tachometer 120-130

I bought a tach as described at a swap meet. The seller said it was from a 142. It is blackfaced with white letters with Volvo and Smith both on the face. It has two black wires and one white that are for inside the car wiring. One of the black wires has an eyelet, so I'd guess it is a ground. Two white wires are for use under the hood. Does anyone know how to wire this tach? I hate to guess and maybe ruin a vintage piece. Thanks.
