Custom Intake (Is it possible??) 900

I am tired of having such a lazy motor. Especially when i know it has a lot of potential (it revs to 6600 out of the factory, that's pretty good).

Anyway, I got a job at pep boys recently, and me and another employee were talking about the 960's 2.9L. This guy builds Chevy V8s in his garage to run in The Quarter. So we start talking about intakes, and easy, cheap power gains.
What about a self-fabbed twin cold air intake??

It sounds easy, i could even use PVC pipe (it's been done by tuners with PVC a lot). I would put 2 K&Ns on it, too.

My question it this-
1. Is it possible?
2. Where would the MAF be moved to?
3. Could i mount the ends right behind the lower cutouts on the front bumper (beneath the fog lamps)? (i might have to punch out those panels around the tow hook (on one side, and just knock it out on the other))

Thanks, this would be sick if i could do it
