How to wire a modern coil 120-130 1965

If you are using the original ignition switch, you'll want to pull the whole assembly as it is easier to do on the work bench. Either way, get out the dremel or angle grinder and cut the armored sheathing. Once to expose the "hot" wire, then another careful cut to get enough wire to work with. Lengthen it, and this wire will go to the + side of your coil. The wire from the distributor (condenser, points) goes to the - side as before.
Yes, there are some "hot" coils out there. Be very very careful to follow all instructions (on the side of the box?) in regards to BALLAST RESISTANCE.
The Bosch Blue works great, as-is. IPD has 'em for under $30.00.
Best,
Shayne.
