engine & car pic 200

I would install hood insulation, but I'd be concerned about it deadening the chatter of the KJet injectors and valve train, and the beautiful sound of the big metal fan on the water pump.

Volvos are too distinctive a sound for me to want to deaden, especially with KJet fitted. It's right up there with the sound of a late 60's Ford ironhead 250Ci 6cyl with single muffler and no cat.

I found a manifold on ebay to fit twin SUs to a B21E, but I'd miss the chattering noise that makes up part of the essential Volvoness. Just like I spent a whole day getting my seat belt light to work, because it too is a part of the swedish character of the beast.

Probably should grab that manifold though, it would be cool to add to a later project.
