RPM

my 1990 740 wagon no turbo automatic, had the tarnny replaced a year a go
because i was reving it to 4000 rpms to go 60 miles/hour the tranny was not shifting.
now with the new tranny when i reach 3000rpm it starts bouncing back and
the car hesitates and try to go off.even when at park i rev it to about 3000rpm
and it bounces back.complete tun up done except fuel filter, changed the air mass flow meter, rpm senser on to of fly wheel, tested o2 sensor ok.this tranny was in my friends car and it was good.could this be a problem with the torque
converter? please let me know because i can't go more then 70 mile/hour.thanks
