How do you do it: Routine cleaning of alloy wheels on a GL? 200

It's no trick to superficially clean the outside of the OE 26 spoke alloys [ 245 GL]when washing the car, but what methods/tools do people use to clean between the crevices? I'm talking about everyday brake dust, not years of baked on crud. It is just so labor intensive to clean 104 crevices with a finger in a chamois. And you always find you missed areas. Must be a better way. [I tried using the search tool on this topic with no luck]
