no start problem 700

Since the lights are dimming I would say the connection is being made in the ignition switch.

I would make sure your battery ground (earth) wires are not broken. I found a broken wire on our old 88, right where it bolts onto the engine block. The connection is underneath the power steering pump. Look here to see if the blue cable has broken off.

Also try starting the engine with the shift lever in Neutral instead of Park. If the engine starts, then the Neutral Safety Switch is out of adjustment.

This can be adjusted under the center console tray. You may have bad shifter linkage bushings as well.

Good luck with it!
