RE: Crank Position Sensor - Best Way to Remove 200

Well it is time to replace that crank position sensor. I have a new one ready to go, but I want to see if anyone knows the best way to get to the bugger. The Bentley Manual says "Working from the back of the engine" remove the nut securing the sensor. That is all well and good, but I can't seem to find the trick. Is it better to get to it from under the car? I have tried box end wrenches, sockets with extensions, but nothing seems to really work. I would have my pet monkey try, but he died two years ago. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a 1992 Sedan.
