Fuel pump bearing noise 700 1992

Hi again to the helpfull people on the brick board.

I have a '92 745 turbo. The main fuel pump under the car has developed an intermitant bearing squeel type noise. It sounds like the in tank pump is running, and there is no corelation between when the noise happens, and if the tank is full or empty. The only thing changing is that the noise is getting more frequent, and perhaps louder. As far as I know, it is the original pump with 243K on it. I think I will be changing it out soon along with the filter and check valve. Any other suggestions or pointers? Thanks .

Mark 1992 745T (sometimes 945T), 243K
