'90 Volvo 740 turbo wagon--shaking parts under hood!

I wrote with a question last week and greatly appreciate the advice! It is really useful to have this information when talking to my mechanic.

I have had problems with the battery gauge on my '90 Volvo turbo intercooler wagon and there is some shaking that you can feel when the car is running so I decided to look under the hood today.

I noticed that I could see the alternator, and other parts shaking side to side. Is there bracketing of some sort that is missing that would cause the shaking or is this normal?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Morgan
