Muffle Up I Guess... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. The muffler snapped off where it joins the pipe coming from the exhaust manifold. To get the beast off the rear axle I jacked up the rear end and hack sawed the pipe from the rear side. Everyone is looking pretty shot so time to replace, I am sure.

Excuse the ignorance, but can I just take my new loud hotrod to any reputable shop or is there some special trick or feature I need to know about? I am not yet a welder. I have heard of a resonator for these beasts but I do not believe I have ever had one.

On an unrelated note, what brand, grade and weight of oil do you use in the 4-speed transmission without overdrive?

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
