Should I Rebuild or Replace

I guess it's up to you- which engine do you feel more comfortable working on? If you're rebuilding a non turbo B230F with hopes of more power, how far do you think you can go? Maybe 150HP? Probably less than that. MAybe with a lot of head work, cams, fuel injection tuning.

That puts you 10hp under a stock Turbo engine. 30hp under a Turbo Plus car. The logical "factory" upgrade would be a turbo swap. But it's probably no more work to do the Ford 5.0 install. There are kits for Fords and Chevys, and they do work. The car will go like hell and 300hp is easily attainable. Paul Newman did it to a brand new one in 1988. Fast fun car with decent characteristics.

But I've got a way easier proposal. Sell the NA car, and buy the Turbo model. It's already got just about everything you'd want, and it's 160hp when totally stock. Build on that if you need more power.
