Disable intake hot air stove on Rex Regina car - good or bad idea? 700

Hi everyone:

Are there any performance/economy benefits (or losses) associated with disabling the hot air supply to the air cleaner on a non-turbo Rex Regina car? I am asking since these cars use an air temperature and MAP sensors instead of the AMM used on Bosch injected cars.
Thanks for any advice!
