Tranny WAY too full. How do I remove some of the fluid. 200 1983

I guess when I first started restoring this automatic '83 245 I must have put too much fluid in because now (one and a half years later) the dipstick for the tranny shows the fluid way up. Good thing I haven't driven it. I know I need to lower the fluid down to proper levels. What is the easiest way to pump that fluid out?
