1986 240 bucks when taking off, stick shift 200 1986

Hi Everyone, my volvo has gotten worse at doing this and is bothering me. When i start to take off in fist grear (remember this car is a stick shift)it tends to buck back and forth untill i shift into 2nd grear and hit the gas pedal to the floor. when i use high octane gas, it helps with the bucking to decrease but not by much. i checked all my electrical and haven't found a problem there.. can anyone help with this?? I'm currently driving my wife's 740 and she's wondering when I'll be giving her car back....you guys out there who have been in this situation know what i'm going through.
