Dave Shannon suggested the ignition amplifer and that will be my last attempt before taking it to a mechanic on Monday...for Bruce's information it is an 89 240...if anyone is curious I will post what the mechanic says.....as my other post seems to have merged into the brahmajyoti ;the car dies and then usually siarts right up again,i have replaced EVERY part i can think of as well as EVERY part the brickboarders have thought of;and tried every suggestion by other people who work on volvos.....to no avail,,Kris
