1000 miles away from home...overdrive giving out? 200

I just drove my 89 240 wagon about 1000 miles with no problems initially. She was running really well and smooth. I stopped briefly about 50 miles from my destination and when I got back on the interstate and got her back up to about 70 miles an hour I knew that a) she hadn't gone into 4th gear or b) the overdrive wasn't engaging. Twice I got off the interstate to see how she was running through the gears - she ran through them as usual until I reached about 60 mph. I am able to get her up to about 70 without hesitation, but didn't really try to push her past that. There was no indication that the car was overheating - as I said I drove her about 50 miles. In town, she drives normally.

I had already been driving for about 5 hours when this happened - she has a rebuilt transmission - it's about 7 years old. Please tell me this is an overdrive problem and not a transmission problem. I have to drive her back home in three days. I'm in Durham, NC right now - anyone know where I should take her to get it checked out?

Thanks!
Rachel
